Survey finds biodiversity an integral aspect of new Velindre Cancer Centre
Cancer is easier to treat if it is diagnosed early. There is a need to improve screening pathways and develop new diagnostic technologies that reduce the impact on NHS resources whilst specifically detecting those with cancer at an earlier stage.
Following the evaluation of the pre-qualification questionnaire responses, the competition to deliver the new Velindre Cancer Centre has now begun with two consortia, Future Health and Acorn, proceeding to the dialogue stage of the procurement.
Three men from Newtown, Powys are encouraging more people to give blood. Together they have made a combined 263 blood donations, providing enough blood to save the lives of over 700 adults or 1,500 babies.
