Statement: Industrial action

“Following the announcement that staff belonging to the Royal College of Nursing (RCN) union will strike on two dates in mid-December, Velindre wants to assure its patients and donors that contingency planning is underway to ensure we are able to continue to provide our life saving and life maintaining care during the period of disruption.

"We are exploring every possible option to ensure our services are able to remain available to those that need them.

"Further updates will be provided when the extent of strike action is established."
