Sara Moseley to take up role of Chair later this year

The Cabinet Secretary for Health and Social Care has today announced that Sara Moseley will take up the role of Chair of Velindre University NHS Trust from 1 September 2025.

An Independent Board Member of Cardiff and Vale University Health Board, Sara was formerly Director of Mind Cymru, Executive Director of Mind and Chief Executive Officer of Moondance Cancer Initiative.

A fluent Welsh speaker, Sara has a background in communication, public engagement and governance having been Director of Communications for the Welsh Government, and of a large London health trust and a Director of Board and Corporate Support for a regional development agency.

She is passionate about enabling people’s voices and experiences to be heard and shared, and about improving access to compassionate and effective services and support.
