We are delighted to share the fantastic news that our Chief Pharmacist, Bethan Tranter, has been designated a Fellow of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society – one of the highest honours in the profession.

Fellowship is reserved for individuals who have made an exceptional impact on the advancement of pharmacy practice, education, and patient care. Since joining Velindre Cancer Service in 2008, Bethan has brought unparalleled expertise, dedication, and a genuine passion for supporting colleagues throughout the Pharmacy team to grow and succeed.

This achievement is a testament to the innovative work taking place across Velindre Cancer Service – from shaping prescribing practices to driving quality standards and enhancing patient-centred care.

Upon receiving this fellowship, Bethan said:

"I am honoured to have been nominated by my peers to receive this award, let alone to have been awarded it. Working alongside such a forward thinking pharmacy and wider multidisciplinary team  at Velindre is a privilege for which I am grateful."

Bethan’s recognition reflects not only her outstanding leadership and contribution to pharmacy but also the collective excellence of our entire team. Please join us in congratulating Bethan on this well-deserved honour. It’s a proud moment for Velindre and a powerful reminder of the difference we make every day.
