Velindre Cancer Service are proud to celebrate the opening of the brand-new Velindre @ Nevill Hall Chemotherapy Unit in partnership with Aneurin Bevan University Health Board.
This purpose-built unit at Nevill Hall Hospital in Abergavenny will make it easier for people across Gwent and South Powys to access expert cancer care closer to home. Open every Tuesday and Thursday, it will deliver around 20 chemotherapy sessions a day, around 15% of Velindre’s total daily chemotherapy capacity. This expansion helps us meet rising demand while reducing long travel times for patients.

The unit welcomed its first patients last week, with care delivered by our wonderful team of Velindre nurses.
