Park Road works postponed

Due to the heavy rain forecast over the weekend our planned works on Park Road are postponed. The heavy rain predicted means it isn’t possible for us to carry out the essential work to install the new road surface. A weather warning is in place for all of Wales on Sunday and heavy rain is forecast for much of Cardiff.
This means that the upcoming road closures will now not take place between December 18 and December 20. We are working to arrange new dates and will keep everyone notified of any updates and developments as soon as possible.
The current traffic management system will remain in place until the middle of next week while we carry out remedial works to allow the road to be temporarily reopened during the Christmas period. There will be a single temporary pedestrian crossing under two-way lights on Park Road during the Christmas period, and until the revised closure date.
We recognise the disruption this may cause and understand the frustrations you feel.
