eResources

 

Velindre Library & Knowledge Service provides access to specialist books and journals in both print and e format as well as some literature searching databases for all staff of Velindre University NHS Trust, Welsh Blood Service and other hosted organisations.

In addition the NHS Wales e-Library provides access to a wide range of eJournals and other eResources for all NHS Wales staff.
 
All the eResources available to you can be found by searching the library catalogue, NHS Wales LibrarySearch.
An A-Z link of all the eJournals can be found at the top of the LibrarySearch home page.

Most resources are also accessible offsite. Offsite access will require an NHS Wales OpenAthens username and password.

Velindre Subscribed eResources


These eResources are subscribed to by Velindre Library for use by all Velindre Trust staff.
 

 

 

 


Offsite access to UpToDate is via a feature called "UpToDate Anywhere"
Simply register for an UpToDate personal account while using an Velindre IP networked PC and then you will be able to log in from anywhere – including via an App on a mobile device (Internet access is still required).
 

 

In addition to the above eResources the library subscribes to some eJournal titles including JAMA Oncology, Practical Radiation Oncology, EJNMMI, Leukemia & Lymphoma plus many others. As stated above search LibrarySearch to see if we have access to a particular title.
 
The library also subscribes to a number of eBooks including a Leadership Collection of 52 titles, all titles are listed on LibrarySearch.
 

 

NHS Wales Subscribed eResources


These eResources are subscribed to by the NHS Wales e-Library and are available for all NHS Wales Staff.
 

 

 

ClinicalKey gives current access to key Elsevier eJournals including Blood Reviews, Clinical Oncology, EJC, IJROBP, Lancet, Lancet Oncology, Radiotherapy & Oncology, and Transfusion & Apheresis Science plus many more.

The NHS Wales e-Library provides access to many other key journal titles including BMJ, NEJM, JAMA plus other Oncology and Blood related titles. Search LibrarySearch for all titles and access options.

There are also a number of e-books available for all NHS Wales staff, all titles are listed on LibrarySearch or can be browsed by supplier via the NHS Wales e-Library website.

These Podcasts are available via Spotify or Apple music.
