The library offers training or advice on a one-to-one or on departmental group basis. We appreciate it can be difficult to come to scheduled sessions so these can be arranged at a day and time to suit you.

OVID Training Resources

 

The library provides access to three databases, Medline, Embase and PsycInfo via the OVID interface, please see our "Finding the Literature Page" for access.  These are three of the key medical databases used to locate literature. OVID provide a series of videos and other resources to help users get started, please follow the link for their resources.

 

 

Critical Appraisal Resources

 

There are many tools / checklists available to help you critically appraise the literature. Below are links to resources provided by the Critical Appraisal Skills Programme (CASP) and Cardiff Universities Specialist Unit for Review Evidence (SURE).
