The ‘Velindre Keep Me Safe’ app offers you the opportunity to complete your SACT pre-treatment assessment checklist on your mobile device, at a time that suits you, making it more convenient and removing the need for you to wait for a call from the VAP Team.
'Velindre Keep Me Safe’ is available for download in the Apple App Store. Simply search for ‘Velindre Keep Me Safe’ and follow the instructions to download and install it on your mobile device. Yes, ‘Velindre Keep Me Safe’ is free to download and use. There are no subscription fees or in-app purchases required to access any of the features.
'Velindre Keep Me Safe' is compatible with Apple iPhone and iPad devices that have operating systems iOS 14 (or above) installed.
Yes, we take the security and privacy of your personal information very seriously. No personal details are stored on the ‘Velindre Keep Me Safe app’ and your completed checklists are pseudo-anonymised on the ‘Velindre Keep Me Safe’ Dashboard at the VAP Clinic in Velindre, which sits behind the NHS firewalls.
The VAP Team will send you a unique patient access code via email. To create your account, you will need to enter this into the app the first time you use it. Your account will then be linked to a unique Velindre Keep Me Safe Patient ID that the VAP Team will use to identify the checklists you have completed.
Don’t worry. If an incorrect access code is entered into the app you cannot log in. A message will display in red underneath the access code box asking you to enter a valid ID.
If you think you have answered a question wrong, you can go back and change your answer by clicking the back button on the top left-hand corner of the screen (it is shaped like a triangle). Please note, if you have already completed your checklist and clicked ‘continue’ on the final screen, the checklist will then be submitted to the VAP Team, and you will not be able to go back to review your answers. If you think you have answered any questions incorrectly, please contact the VAP Team.
