Information for patients starting anti- cancer drug treatment
Your specialist cancer team will talk with you about the treatment that they recommend for your type of cancer. You will also have the opportunity to ask any questions about the treatment and the possible side effects.
There are many different types of anti-cancer drug treatments, and you may be given one or more different types of treatment in combination.
You will be given written information about your specific treatment or be advised where you can find this online – we recommend that you only use trusted websites such as CRUK and Macmillan or other NHS websites to find about information about your cancer and the treatment options.
It can be very difficult to remember everything you have been told. To help you to be best prepared for your treatment we recommend that you watch the education video / videos for your type of treatment.
Please ask your cancer doctor, nurse or pharmacist to indicate which of the videos you should watch. This will depend on what type of treatment or combination of treatments they are planning for you to have.
To find the videos, scan the QR code or search for the video on the internet using the words below the QR codes.
