Volunteering

We welcome applications from people of all abilities.

Velindre Cancer Service is currently developing its process and patient communication to implement the Call 4 Concern patient safety initiative. Call 4 Concern is designed to enable patients, families or carers to call for immediate help and advice if they feel concerned that the healthcare team has not recognised a change in their loved one’s condition.

We would like to design the communications, and where possible the process, in partnership with our patients and family members and have therefore planned two focus group opportunities to gather feedback, experiences and advice.

We are seeking patients and carers to share their experiences on the use of video consultations.

We are working to increase the use of video consultations across the Velindre Cancer Service and would like to discuss any concerns and ideas for ensuring patients feel comfortable in using this technology and receiving their consultation appointment via video.

We are planning to hold focus groups with patients and carers to explore people’s experiences, their concerns and to co-produce a plan to expand the use of Attend Anywhere across Velindre Cancer Service.
