As part of our work to build our new Velindre Cancer Centre we’re getting ready to start some essential utility diversions in January 2025 ahead of some key planned roadworks near Asda.
These works, in advance of part of what’s called our Section 278 works, are an important step in moving the project forward. We’re aiming to keep disruption to a minimum by carrying out the work at night.
What’s happening?
Work will start during the night on January 13, 2025.
The work will take place around Asda Coryton, including near the petrol filling station, McDonald’s and Starbucks.
We’re planning on carrying out the works during the night time, to reduce impact on traffic during the day.
Key Dates
Phase A: Four-Lane Crossing – January 13 to 17
Phase B: Roundabout Area South of Filling Station – January 20 to 24
Phase C: Final Connections – February 5 to 7
We’ve put traffic management plans in place to help keep traffic moving while we carry out this work to help minimise any disruption.
Thanks in advance for your patience and support while we carry out these works. We appreciate the disruption work like this can cause and every effort is being made to reduce the impact to our community.
