IM - Finance

Martin Veale is a non-executive director at Sport Wales, and a director of the Pen y Cymoedd Windfarm community fund. He also sits on the audit committees at Pembrokeshire and Blaenau Gwent councils, Hafod, and the Welsh Government’s Health and Social Services department, and on the standards committee at Merthyr Tydfil council. 
 
Martin is a serving magistrate, and is also a governor at Coleg Gwent and at his daughter’s high school.
 
A qualified accountant and auditor, his finance, audit, risk and corporate governance career covers local and central government, the NHS and the private sector.  
 
Martin grew up in Ebbw Vale and now lives in Pontypridd with his wife and daughter.
