What services do the Radiology department provide?

Our radiology department is centrally located at Velindre. We are easy to find, being just off the main corridor. We offer a comprehensive range of imaging services that include:

• Plain film imaging (Computed Radiography)
• Computed Tomography (CT scanning)
• Magnetic Resonance Imaging ( MRI scanning)
• Ultrasound scanning and mammography
• Fluoroscopy (real time imaging such as Barium meals, guidance for insertion of central venous catheters)

Services are provided by a team of radiographers, radiologists, IT, administration and clerical staff.

Routine services are provided between 08:30am and 17:30 pm Monday to Friday. An out of hour’s service covers emergencies, evenings, nights, weekends and bank holidays.
