Patient Liaison Group (PLG)

The patients voice in Velindre

The 'Patient Liaison Group' at Velindre is a voice for patients and carers. Established in 2002 we meet monthly with management to discuss new projects, service developments and any staff training issues. Our primary role is in providing a forum to discuss and obtain input into current and planned services.

The group is pro-active in raising comments and concerns with management. This can be on behalf of patients, carers or both.

Another important focus of the group is in making contact with current users of the cancer centre. We ensure that discussions are held over any issues raised and that decisions are based on up-to-date information.
