First Floor Ward

On our First Floor ward, patients with a variety of cancers and disease related symptoms are treated. Treatments can include radiotherapy or symptom control and range from radical management to palliative care.

Our team of nursing staff work together with allied health care professionals. Standards of care are regularly monitored and audited. This ensures we provide the best practice and care standards possible for our patients.

Regular Multi Disciplinary Team (MDT) meetings are held and attended by:

• nurse
• social worker
• physiotherapist
• occupational therapist
• dietitian
• discharge co-ordinator
• SHO palliative care doctor
• Senior house officers work on the ward alongside holistic and complementary therapists offering a variety of treatments to patients.
