Comment on our planning applications

Many of our supporters have been in touch to ask how they can engage with Cardiff City Council’s planning process.

Outline planning for a new Velindre Cancer Centre was granted by Cardiff City Council in 2018 and two further associated applications were submitted to the council in June for access roads to the centre.

You can support, object or comment on the applications with the council.

You can send your letter to DCCconsultations@cardiff.gov.uk.

Your name and address will be in the public domain.

Your letter should highlight:

  1. The planning application(s) reference numbers. These are 20/01108/MJR for our application for the Asda access and planning reference number 20/01110/MJR for our application for the temporary construction access road through Whitchurch Hospital.
  2. Your address, including postcode.
  3. Your comments on our planning applications for a new Velindre Cancer Centre.

We are committed to working with the local community, our patients, their carers and staff to make this work and value your support as always to Velindre.

If the new Velindre Cancer Centre is to work for future generations, our staff, patients and neighbours should be involved in its design, construction and operation.

We want people to say that their views do count and do make a difference.

In this way, we can all be involved in treating more patients and in helping people to live longer with cancer.
