Therapies

Therapists work within their professional teams in addition to working collaboratively across therapies and the wider Multi Disciplinary Teams (MDTs). Therapy services cover in-patient, outpatient, radiotherapy review clinics and chemotherapy units within Velindre Cancer Centre. Therapists also liaise regularly with teams in local health boards to ensure good communication and seamless continuity of care.

The patient is at the centre of the multi-disciplinary team and each patient should contribute to their goal setting. All therapy interventions are aimed at maximising patient safety and wellbeing, functional ability, and the quality of life of both the patient and their carers.
