If you or someone you know has been diagnosed with cancer, it’s likely you’re aware of the value of wellbeing.

The rising cost of living can cause worry and disruption to the way we want to live our lives. This can have a negative impact on our wellbeing.

It’s important to recognise a low mental wellbeing and take steps to look after ourselves.

Looking after yourself

There are many different factors when thinking about your wellbeing, and plenty of free or low-cost options are available to you. Let’s take a look below.

Therapy services

Our Therapists at Velindre Cancer Centre work in their professional teams in addition to working collaboratively with other therapists and the wider team of health care professionals at Velindre Cancer Centre. In addition, they work in partnership with their colleagues in your local health board to provide, support and deliver excellent patient care.

How we meet your additional needs

The clinicians who deliver your care will assess your needs at various points of your treatment. Where appropriate, they will make referrals for you to receive extra support from specialist departments.

If you think you may benefit from a referral or would like to know more about the options available to you, please speak to a clinician at your next appointment.
