Getting Started with Radiotherapy
To help new patients feel informed and comfortable before starting their radiotherapy treatment, we host ‘Getting Started with Radiotherapy’ sessions in partnership with Maggie’s. These sessions take place once a month and are designed to answer questions, provide practical information, and offer reassurance about what to expect during treatment.
Each session is led by Mary, one of our experienced Information Radiographers, and are hosted at both Velindre Cancer Centre in Whitchurch, and the Velindre @ Nevill Hall Radiotherapy Unit in Abergavenny.
It’s a great opportunity to learn more about the process and connect with others who may be going through similar experiences.

Sessions at VCC take place from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm every 3rd Monday of the month at the Maggie's Centre.
